Deanna Kline, age 86, of Kent, OH, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on April 27, 1938, in Ravenna, Deanna was the daughter of the late Ray Hartman and Evelyn (Boosinger) Setlak. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of all who knew her, leaving a lasting impact on her family and community.
Family was the center of Deanna's world. She was a devoted mother to her five children and took great pride in nurturing and supporting them. Her strong Catholic faith inspired her dedication to community service, and she committed countless hours to volunteering for various organizations, including The Clothing Center and The Center of Hope. Deanna also spearheaded the annual Toy Drive, bringing joy to many children during the holidays.
In addition to raising her children, Deanna graciously cared for her grandmother, her mother-in-law (who lived with the family for over ten years), and her own mother, who suffered from Alzheimer's disease. She truly embodied the spirit of compassion and selflessness.
Deanna's professional career spanned over 30 years, during which she worked for three different OBGYN doctors, becoming a cherished member of each practice. Her dedication and kindness shone through in every aspect of her life.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, Jack Kline; her five children, Mark (Heather) Kline, Renee (Fred) Drewry, Tom (Luann) Kline, Debbie Origlio (Scott), and Denise Dunn; 14 beloved grandchildren; and 24 precious great-grandchildren; Brother, Ray (Joanne) Hartman. Deanna was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Hartman and Evelyn Hartman Setlak, her sister, Peggy Peters, and her grandson Jordan Kline.
Deanna's incredible spirit and unwavering love will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. It was a true honor to call her our mother.
