Dr. Jere Conrad Sitko

Dr. Jere Conrad Sitko, 73, passed away on Tuesday, December 26th, 2023 after a brief illness. He was born in Brady Lake on December 14, 1950 to the late Michael and Joyce (Geisinger) Sitko. A graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School in 1969, Jere went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in French and then a master’s degree in clinical psychology at Kent State University. He transferred to Wright Institute in Berkeley, California for a PhD in Clinical Psychology. He worked for Kaiser Permanente full time and part time as an adjunct Professor for Clinical Psychology Department of Golden Gate University, where he received a Teacher of the Year Award. Jere was fluent in five languages. His family was very proud of him.

He was preceded in death to his parents Michael and Joyce (Geisinger) Sitko.

He leaves his brothers Thomas (Donna), Edward, Ron, and Chuck (Mary Kay) Sitko, and sisters, Valaria Sitko, Michelle (John) Martin, Cynthia Sitko and Pam (Dan) Ray, many nieces and nephews and his special pet Zane.

In honoring Jere's wishes, cremation has taken place. Erin Sitko Anthony will be officiating a service at 2:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Open House on Friday, December 29, 2023, at Crossings at Gold Pond Clubhouse, 171 Shaw Drive, Kent, Ohio, 44240.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made, in his name, to Kent Natural Foods, 151 E. Main St., Kent, Ohio 44240.
