Amy Ruggles Faust

February 1, 1957 — March 14, 2014

Amy Patricia Ruggles Faust's soul left this earth on March, 14, 2014. A resident of Portage County her entire life, she was born on February 1, 1957, to James and Mary Ruggles.

Amy began her career in Physical Therapy, starting off as a Candy Striper in the PT Department and went on to make a life-long career in Physical Therapy. She was employed with Portage Physical Therapy for 30 years being the Director of Home Services for the past 25 years. The success of Amy's career reflected on her love for her job and the many people she helped along the way.

In her spare time, Amy was a fantastic crafter and seamstress, creating beautiful items for the home and holidays that are cherished by everyone. Amy's love for tock-in-roll began at age 12 and she never looked back, attending concerts and always having music on wherever she was. She loved the aromas of Yankee Candles throughout the house.

Amy is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved son, Tyler Patrick Faust. She has left behind to cherish her memory: brother, Walter (Micki) Ruggles; sister, Roxanne Wise; nieces Leslie (DJ) Bilby and Noelle (Jared) Fucci; nephews, Justin (Christina) Wise, Brendan and Evan Ruggles.

There are countless friends who were there for her along this journey. All of them displayed kindness, sincerity and what everyone should be as a human being! Amy and her family cannot thank you all enough!

A special thanks to Robinson Hospice and their staff and Heather Butcher for her special care and kindness.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no calling hours. A Mass to celebrate Amy's life will be held at St. Joan of Arc in Streetsboro on Saturday, March 22, 2014, officiated by Fr. Pat Ferraro at 11:00AM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joan of Arc, The Wounded Warrior Project or the donor's choice.
