Amy Marguerite Smith, 48, of Kent, died Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at her home.
She was born January 5, 1967 in Akron to Joseph and Mary Ellen (Whisler) Neff. Amy has worked for fifteen years at Stow-Munroe Falls Schools as a Bus Driver. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Kent. She played the flute in high school and would often pick it up and play from memory. She was an avid NASCAR fan and a diehard Jimmie Johnson fan. She loved going to the beach and had a big heart for animals. She loved camping with her family and baking. She will be remembered for her warm hugs and beautiful smile.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas Smith, whom she married on June 18, 1988; daughters, Ashley Smith and Kaitlyn Smith both of Kent; mother, Mary Ellen Neff of Cuyahoga Falls; brothers, Steve Neff of Akron and Bill (Lisa) Neff of Tallmadge; nephew, Zach Neff; and niece, Mikayla Neff.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 31st at First Christian Church in Kent with Pastor William Meyer officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the services.
