Angeline Mary Clapp

Angeline Mary Clapp, 88, of Indian Trail, NC, died Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Novant Health Medical Center in Matthews, NC.

She was born December 4, 1924 in Stow, to Michael and Victoria (Hank) Schossler. She was retired from the domestics department of the Clarkins Store in Kent. She was a member of St. Peter of the Field's Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, the Brimfield Dandelions, was an avid gardener and member of the Rootstown Garden Club and involved in the Canton Cursillo. She was also a seamstress, taught cake decorating and most importantly was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by sons, Vernon (Bernice) Clapp of Greenville, FL, Patrick (Patti) Clapp of Banner Elk, NC, Arthur (Linda) Clapp of Ravenna, George (Margaret) Clapp of Mantua, Daniel Clapp of Social Circle, GA, David (Susan) Clapp of Rootstown, Thomas Clapp of Akron and Andrew (Crystal) Clapp of Concord, NC; daughters, Cecilia (Neal) Parker of Indian Trail, NC and Carolyn (Robert) Koon of Doyle, TN; 36 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie (Gordon) Tomko of Kent, Bertha Kempf of Clarksville and Carolyn King of Garrettsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Clapp, brothers, Bartholomew, Michael and John Schossler; sisters, Francis Kryzski, Mary Settle and Martha Kirkland.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11AM Saturday, October 26, 2013 at St. Peter of the Fields Church with Father David Misbrener officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the Mass. Interment will be at St. Peter of the Fields Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Peter of the Fields Altar and Rosary Society.
