Anita Marie Long

It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of Anita Marie Long, lifelong resident of Kent, Ohio. She unexpectedly passed on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at the age of 65. She was born on November 24, 1958 and was a 1978 graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School. She was employed at Spencer Gifts for 35 years, and more recently as a teller at Hometown Bank for the last 15 years. Anita had a love for horses, had the biggest heart, and would do anything for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Jean Long; and brother, Dennis James Long. Anita is survived by her siblings, Michael Long, Kenny (Carol) Long, Sarah Long, Kevin Long and Kim (David) Emrick and numerous of nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 5:00-7:00PM at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240. Funeral services will follow at 7:00PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Graveside services at Standing Rock Cemetery will be private for the family.
