Ann Kathleen Bulger, 65, of Kent, died Friday, June 14, 2013 at Hospice Care Center in Copley, OH.
She was born November 1, 1947 in East Liverpool, to Paul and Mary (Winkle) Bulger. Ann graduated of East Liverpool High School in 1965, graduated Cum Laude in 1972 from Kent State University and was a Jennings Scholar and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1999 from Marygrove College with her Masters in Education. Ann taught at Fortis College in Ravenna where she won the circle of Excellence Award. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Streetsboro. She liked crafting and was an avid reader. Her Lancaster High School students called her "Chief" and her students at Fortis College called her "Awesome." The family would like to thank the Cleveland Clinic, Kent Health Care, Akron General Hospital and Akron General Hospice Center, the faculty and honor society of Fortis College for their support and prayers. The family especially thanks Roger and Laura Way, Dawn Lewinski and sons, Carol Dwlgosh, Susan Wurmbrand and Karla Kaufman.
She is survived by brother, William N. (Therese) Bulger of Hilliard; sisters, M. Susan Bulger of Kent and Lucinda R. Bulger of Ravenna; four nieces; one nephew; one step-nephew; one step-niece; sixteen great nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. Funeral mass will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 22nd at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. A gathering will be held immediately following mass at Fortis College. Burial will be held at Columbiana County Memorial Park at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 525 North Broad Street, Canfield, OH 44406.
