Annabelle Hildebrand Fenstermacher passed away Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna. She was born in California on July 11, 1913. Her family returned to Columbus, Ohio that same year. She graduated from Ohio State University in 1935 from the College of Education, and taught elementary school for 3 years in Zanesfield in Logan County. She returned to Columbus and was married to Leon Fenstermacher on October 22, 1938. Beginning in 1942 during W.W. II she did voluntary hospital work, employed by the Columbus General Army Depot, and by the Columbus Board of Education. In 1946 she and her husband moved to Coshocton, Ohio where she was active in the A A U W, and served as State Treasurer for the organization. In 1957 her family moved to Kent. There she retired after 10 years from the Kent State University Library. She and her husband celebrated 72 years of marriage on October 22, 2010. They loved extensive world traveling. She is survived by her husband; daughter, Susan Wolford; son, David Fenstermacher; granddaughters, Jody and Rae Ann Wolford; grandson, Michael Fenstermacher; daughter-in-law, Sharon Fenstermacher; and brother, Charles Hildebrand of Columbus, Ohio. Anabelle was a member of the United Church of Christ of Kent for 51 years. Memorial services will be held there Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 10 AM.
