Annette E. Kline

Annette E. Murchison Kline, loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, went to her eternal home on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the age of 98.

Annette was born on January 10, 1921 in Memphis, Tennessee, to Charles Lee and Emily (Jones) Murchison. She grew up in Akron, Ohio, and married the love of her life, Art Kline, on November 16, 1941. She and her husband always worked together in love for their family and community, living first in Akron, and then Suffield, before moving to Randolph, Ohio in 1954.

Faith and family were the center of their lives, being fully devoted to their ten children: Bill (Beverly) Kline, Panama City Beach, Florida; Jack (Elaine) Kline, Concord Twp., OH; Matt (Virginia) Kline, Smithville, TX; Tom (Lisa) Kline, Ormond Beach, FL; Howard Kline, Randolph, OH; Nancy Herrington, Stonecreek, OH; Barb (Tom) Gannon, Randolph, OH; Beth (Jerry) Kline-Mohn, Uniontown, OH; Caroline (Dennis) Tannert, Randolph, OH. She is also survived by 48 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Arthur Kline; infant son Timothy Kline; parents Charles Lee and Emily Murchison; brothers Jim and Sam Murchison; and sister Corrinne Houston.

Annette entered college at the age of 57 and received a dual degree in Philosophy and Peace Studies from Kent State University in 1986. She was a guardian ad litem (advocate) for the Summit County Juvenile Court beginning in 1989. She was certified by the Academy of Family Mediators and served as a Mediator in Stark County, while holding a private practice in Ravenna, Ohio. She was presented the Liberty Bell Award by the Stark County Bar Association acknowledging her outstanding work in Family Court.

Services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Randolph, Ohio on Saturday, May 11, 2019. Family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 with mass being held at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Miss Liberty House, 643 Crown Avenue, Ravenna, OH 44266, which serves to empower female veterans and their dependent children through housing and specialized resources or St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2643 Waterloo Road, Mogadore, OH 44260.
