Anthony D. DeLeone “Tony”, age 57 of Uniontown passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 8, 2021. He was born May 16, 1963 in Cuyahoga Falls to Joseph J. and Wilma (Stecz) DeLeone. Tony graduated from Kent Roosevelt High School and Kent State University where he played football for both schools. He was an avid sports fan and followed the game through his life. Tony loved the Buckeyes, but his favorite team was any team his kids were a part of. He was their biggest fan and never missed a chance to coach them through life standing next to his loving wife Lisa.
He found the good in all things often living by the motto, “Pizza’s pizza. Some’s just better than others.” His family was first in his life. On his many trips to the grocery store, he would frequently show up with little treats for them. He knew he was lucky with a lottery ticket in his pocket and a family to share it with. His generous spirit was his biggest attribute. He loved to give. He was friends with so many people. Everywhere he went, he would run into someone he knew.
He was at his happiest on family vacation, by the pool, sharing beverages with those he loved so dearly. Tony was full of joy. You always knew he was near when you heard someone humming a happy tune. That is why he loved Disney so much “the happiest place on earth” Tony made several trips there in his life and waited in every line for a character autograph or to trade a pin. We will remember his laugh, his happy tune, and his generous heart forever.
He is preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife Lisa; children Ben, Nick, and Lizzie; Mother Wilma; brothers Joseph (Barb) DeLeone, James (Kathleen) DeLeone, and Michael (Carm) DeLeone; sister Sue (Ray) Kubani; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law Mary Ann Crawford; sister-in-law Laura (J) Fisk.
