Ardith L. Fleishman, 95, died Sunday January 6, 2019 at Stow-Glenn Retirement Village, Stow, Ohio where she resided the past 19 years. She was born March 30, 1923 in Wellington, Ohio, the daughter of Alfred and Luella Moehle. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Fleishman and brothers Lyle, Gaylord and Robert Moehle.
A 1941 graduate of Roosevelt High School, she attended Actual Business College. While employed at the Ravenna Ordinance Depot (Arsenal) as a secretary, she met her future husband, Robert Fleishman. They were married October 16, 1942, at the bride's home in Kent, Ohio. During WW II while her husband served with the Army in the Philippines, Mrs. Fleishman worked for Twin Coach in Kent as a riveter.
She believed in service and was active in the community through St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Ravenna, and the Child Guidance Club. She retired from Maplewood Joint Vocational School where she was a cafeteria cashier.
Survived by sons, Robert II (Pam) of Ravenna and Martin (Charlaine) of Watsonville, California; daughters Donna (Paul) Bognar of Westminster, Colorado and Susan (Mike) Briggs of Kent, eight grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation is 10 a.m. until noon Saturday January 12 at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home in Kent with funeral services immediately following. Pastor Elizabeth M. Hazelton officiating.
