Armand Paul Dionne, 82, of Kent, died Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at his home.
He was born October 1, 1933 in Manchester, NH to Charles Adrien and Ida Marie (LaBree) Dionne. In Manchester, he attended St. Marie Grade School and West High School. He was a University of New Hampshire graduate; and was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War. Armand retired as Executive Secretary-Comptroller of First Federal Savings and Loan in Kent in 1993 after 31 years of service. Following his retirement, he loved working at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home where he met his old and new friends. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Knights of Columbus, St. Patrick Church, and Cuyahoga Falls Gem, Rock, & Mineral Society.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline (Dudley) Dionne, whom he married on November 9, 1957; children, Chuck (Mary) Dionne of Kent and their children, Paul and Patricia (Lee), Tammy Dionne of St. Louis, MO and her daughter, Samantha, Rick Dionne of Concord, NH, and Thom (Julie) Dionne of Kent and their children, Dustin (Bella), Ashley (Tom), Riley, Tanner; great grandchildren, Isobel And Zoey; and siblings, Loretta, Rita, Yvette, Claire, and Charlie. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Louise, Lou, Gert, and Ray.
The family would like to thank the VA for the 25 years of wonderful care that Armand received as well as the UH Portage Medical Center Hospice Team for their special care.
Calling hours will be held 10-11 AM Saturday, September 24th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent. Graveside will be follow immediately at Standing Rock Cemetery with Deacon Michael Stabilla officiating.
