Barbara Ann (Wearley) Clapp

Barbara Ann Clapp, 91, of Kent, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Kent Ridge Senior Living.  She was born in Parma, OH on June 9, 1933 to the late Ralph and Anna Mae Wearley.  Barbara resided in New Mexico for 50 years, returning to Kent in 2021.  She enjoyed reading, watching movies, playing cards and was an animal lover.  She will be deeply missed and always remembered by those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Clapp and her sister Bette Toole.

She leaves her daughters, Linda Dwyer, Barb (Jack) Schneider, Beth Puranen and Jeri Clapp; four grandsons and five great grandchildren.

In honoring her wishes, Barbara will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made, in her name, to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Planned Parenthood.
