Bernard Shaffer, 68, of Streetsboro, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Gardens of Western Reserve in Streetsboro.
He was born April 4, 1946 in Ravenna to Claude W. and Marjorie E. (Valarinos) Shaffer. He was a graduate of Ravenna High School and retired from Gougler Industries after working there for many years.
He is survived by his daughters, Annette (Rick) McMullen and Kim (Steve) Kost; grandchildren, Tate Heritage, Stephanie Bellamy, Ricky McMullen, Scott McMullen, Jake McMullen, Casey Kost, and Madolyn Kost; step-sons, Joshua Overton, Jimmy Pate, and Billy Pate; great granddaughter, Grace McMullen; sisters, Frances (Jerry) Swaney and Faye (Richard) Sparks. He was a beloved uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alicia Shaffer; parents; brother, Charles Shaffer; and sister, Claudia Shaffer.
Calling hours will be held 10-11 AM Friday, June 27 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent. Private graveside services will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Cleveland.
