Brent Lee Rodgers

Brent Lee Rodgers, 57 passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 18, 2016 in Kent, Ohio. He was born May 9, 1958 in Gallipolis, Ohio, the third son of John (Jack) Rodgers who survives him and the late Wilnell Jenkins Rodgers.

He was a 1976 graduate of Gallia Academy High School and attended the University of Rio Grande. He retired after 40 years from CVS where he started as a stock boy at the age of 18. He worked his way up to Area Manager traveling extensively throughout the country setting up CVS stores. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Morning Dawn Lodge, Gallipolis.

Brent married his former wife and close friend, Rhonda Mulneix on June 8, 1991 who survives him. They have one son, Kevin Rodgers of Columbus and step-daughter Kristy Mulneix of Akron. Also surviving are three brothers, Bill (Marsha) Rodgers of Gallipolis; Bruce Rodgers of Lebanon; Brad (Pam) Rodgers of Westerville; brothers-in-law, David (Wendy) Broman, Russell (Linda) Broman, and Dale Broman, nieces and nephews Michael Rodgers, Shandra Rodgers, Tyler Rodgers, Mallory Kelley, Brandon Rodgers, Steffanie Rodgers, Gregory Broman, Ryan Broman, Michale Broman, Trisha Cerveny, Meghen Broman, Kyle Broman, Danielle Broman and Gillian Broman.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Fred and Guineth (Eggleton) Parker and William and Freda (Wedemeyer) Jenkins.

Calling hours will be held 6-8 PM Thursday, April 21 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent, and 6-8 PM Saturday, April 23 at Waugh Halley Wood Funeral Home in Gallipolis. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday, April 24 at Waugh Halley Wood Funeral A graveside service will be held at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens in Gallipolis. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Brent's memory to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, Great Lakes Region, 4700 Rockside Rd # 425, Independence, OH 44131.
