Carl Maynard Boltz

Carl Maynard Boltz, 93, of Bath Twp. passed away on January 20, 2024. Carl was born in Bath Twp., Ohio on August 11, 1930 to the late Paul and Meredith Boltz. He was a graduate of Bath High School, the University of Akron where he received a Bachelor of Science and Stark Technical College where he received an Associates in Computer Science. He was a Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout and in the Order of the Arrow, member of Akron Counsel of American Brittany Rescue, Akron Downtown Toastmasters, the Akron Home Builders and Bath Historical Society. Since 1972, Carl was self-employed with Carl Boltz & Sons Inc., and later worked in sales, consulting and finance.

Preceded in death by his parents, brother Russell G. Boltz and niece Marsha. He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years Norma LaRue Boltz; sons C. Thomas (Debra) Boltz, William G. Boltz and James L. (Barbara) Boltz; grandchildren Rebecca (Ken) Johnson, Shaun (Jen) Boltz, Julia Bailey, Heather (Jeff) Reeves, Janna (Sean) Barbour and Daniel Lipinski; 13 great grandchildren and his beloved dog River.

Family and friends may visit from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home, 628 W. Main St. Kent, Ohio 44240. A graveside service will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Moore's Chapel Cemetery in Bath Twp. "I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens to me and 90 percent how I react to it."
