Catherine Victoria Fox

Catherine Victoria “Cathy” Fox, 71, of Kent, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024, in the comfort of her home, with her family by her side. She was born in Akron on August 5, 1952, to the late Lewis and Ruby Hayberg, and was a 1970 graduate of Akron Central High School.

Cathy worked in retail, first with the F.W. Albrecht company for 28 years and later at Best Buy for 20 years. She was an active member of Community Life Church in Mogadore since its inception in 2016.

Nothing meant more to her than the time she spent with her family. Cathy loved her family passionately and without apology. She was always concerned for and involved in their lives. They could never leave the house without a real hug and a kiss and a “love you more” from her. If she “chose” you as family, she was the same with you as she was with them. This world will feel a little emptier without her in it.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Lewis Hayberg Jr. and her sister Sandra Kyle.

Cathy leaves behind her loving husband Rickie L. Fox; daughter Tara Black (Ron); son Brian Fox; grandson Brian Fox Jr; brother David A. Hayberg; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 14, 2024 at 12:00pm at Community Life Church, 106 S. Cleveland Ave. Mogadore, OH 44260. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00am-12:00pm on Friday at the church.
