Catherine LeBlanc

Catherine LeBlanc, 93, of Kent, passed away on Tuesday, February, 18, 2025 at Mulberry Gardens. She was born in Kent on January 25, 1932 to the late Andrew and Catherine Cheges. She was a graduate of Kent State University and was employed as an executive secretary with Lamb Electric.

Catherine was an avid golfer and sports fan. She loved the Cleveland Cavaliers and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was an organist and singer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Joseph LeBlanc; sisters, Anne Redmond, Nell Cheges and Mary Brooks; brothers, Walter and John Cheges; and nephew Tim Brooks

She leaves her sons and daughters-in-law Robert and Karla LeBlanc and Richard and Dyan LeBlanc; grandchildren, Michelle LeBlanc, Richard J. (Rachel) LeBlanc and Matthew LeBlanc; five great grandchildren; nephews Walter (Laura) Cheges, Stephen Cheges and Dennis Brooks and great niece Addie (Jeremy Stone) Cheges.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 12:00PM at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240, with Pastor Mark Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Standing Rock Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00AM-12:00PM on Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
