Cheryl Ann (Jameson) Mcgee

Cheryl Ann McGee, as of January 7, 2024, is now living in Heaven. She was born on September 18, 1948 into a wonderful family environment, in the mountains of Durango, CO. As a young girl she attended School (grades 1 – 8) at the Seventh Day Adventist Church School. In High School she attended the Sandia View Academy, and then went to Wala Wala College in Washington State. Cheryl worked in the Dentistry Field as a Dental Assistant, then became an Office Manager at a Dental Clinic in Wooster, Ohio which she retired from in 2014. She met her future husband, Doug McGee in 2004. They dated for 8 ½ years before God gave them the OK to get married, since they both had kept their vows to “never marry again unless God gave them a clear “OK” to marry a particular person that He chose. (That’s another beautiful story for later). He gave His ‘OK’, and 4 days later they Married on October 22, 2011 on the shore of Brady Lake. That is when they kissed for the first time, but not the last.

They honored God in their Marriage as they did their best to follow the Biblical Standard of 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8a beginning with “Love is patient.” Cheryl was a life-long Diabetic, type 1 who bravely struggled with fluctuating sugar count levels which were hard on her body. Doug supported her in those battles until late on January 7, 2024 when she had a heart attack that took her life. Doug, nor the EMT’s could save her. But, we know, due to the trustworthy promises of Jesus the Christ, that Cheryl had just stepped into the arms of the Son of God, in Heaven, where she now lives. Thank you Jesus for forgiving our sins!

Other family members of Cheryl, still living on Earth; her Mother Ruth Jameson (97 yrs); brother Lance Jameson, brother Roy and wife Codi Jameson, their kids and several nieces and nephews. During her younger years, Cheryl adopted 2 children; Chane, a boy, deceased, and Cherian (husband Andy), a girl with 2 sons. And of course, the McGee clan, too numerous to list, but in love with Cheryl.

A Celebration of Cheryl’s Life will be held from 1:00PM on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Grace Baptist Church, 5915 Rhodes Rd. Kent, OH 44240. Visitation will be prior, from 12:00-1:00PM at the church.
