Chris Samuel Craft, 51 of Ravenna died Monday, September 4, 2017, UH Portage Medical Center
He was born January 22, 1966 in Youngstown to Howard and Stella (Hiznay) Craft. Chris was a highly regarded supervisor at Delphi, in Warren, Ohio where he worked for 32 years.
Chris found peace at Edisto Island, SC where he spent time with his family and friends annually. Known to many as the "Big Cheese," his kind heart and generosity welcomed all. His hospitality created fond memories for everyone he touched, especially at bonfires, July 4th Celebrations and on camping adventures. He enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Amy (Higgins) Craft, whom he married on September 10, 1988; sons, Jacob Samuel Craft and Caleb Joseph Craft both of Ravenna, Ohio; brothers, Howard Ronald Craft and wife Ann of Cortland and James Craft of Hubbard; sister, Jeannie and husband Bob Williams of Columbus; nephew, Robert Williams Jr. and fiancé Laura Linsinbigler; nieces, Leanne Moore and husband Patrick of Columbus and Ashley Craft of Liberty. He was loved by all his family and many friends including Jeffery Higgins of Hubbard; sister-in-law, Cynthia Mikita of Steubenville; niece, Nina Mitchell; and nephews Ian Mitchell and Pablo Ponce; and 2 great nephews and nieces, John and Kayla Mitchell.
He will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
Calling hours will be held 4-7 PM Monday, September 11 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent. Funeral mass will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 12 at St. Patrick Church with Father Richard Pentello officiating. Burial will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery.
