Corado Gambaccini

Corado Gambaccini, 94, of Kent, died Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the Gables of KentRidge.

He was born November 27, 1920 in Kent to Angelo and Fermina (Campanelli) Gambaccini. He was a veteran of the Navy during the World War II war. He was a life member of St. Patrick Church. He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus. His career as a machinist spanned working at Gougler Machine, Consolidated Mold and Steinert Industries. He was a consummate bowler. He was inducted into the Portage County Bowlers Hall of Fame and played the Pro-Am Circuit where he outscored the Pro's with whom he was partnered. He also served as secretary of his bowling league. He will also be remembered as an avid gardener, both vegetable and flowers. He generously shared his bounty from his gardens with his children and his neighbors.

The family would like to thank his extended family, neighbors and "bowling family" for all the visits and assistance in his golden years; as well as the wonderful care given by his KentRidge "family" and Harbor Light Hospice.

He is survived by children, Gloria (Dan) Tronge of Brimfield, Diane Dean of Ravenna, Tom (Jane) Gambaccini of Brighton, MI; Sandra (Gary) Benshoff of Kent; son-in-law, Tim Ray of Kent; grandchildren, Wendy (Tom) Holliday, Doug (Robin) Tronge, Tammy (Mike) Garro, Erica (Mike) Thomas, Tracy (Jon) Marshall, Justin Benshoff, and Adam (Heather) Benshoff; eleven great grandchildren; brothers, Mario Gambaccini of Crossville, TN and Dante (Rosemary) Gambaccini of Tallmadge; sister, Sue Briers of Kent; and sister-in-law, Millie Gambaccini of Kent. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Cecilia Gambaccini in 1985; daughter, Mary Ann Gambacini-Ray; and brother, Serino Gambaccini.

Calling hours will be held 4-7 PM Monday, November 16th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 17th at St. Patrick Church with Father Richard Pentello officiating. Burial will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church Memorial Fund, 313 N.
