Corene Loretta Crews, 84, of Kent, died Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Altercare of Brimfield.
She was born January 30, 1932 in Montgomery, AL to William and Kennie Ann (Gandy) Markette. She was a loving mother, served as a Deaconess at Christ and Choir Member Christ Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing, cooking, traveling and being with her family. She was a regular attendee at Grace Baptist Church in Kent.
She is survived by sons, Jack (Donna) Crews of Kent and Vern (Debra) Crews of Ft. Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Bret (Rose), Trevor, and Eryn Crews; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, SFC J.L. Crews (RET) in 1974; daughter, Stephanie in 1981; and seven siblings.
Graveside services were held Thursday, September 29th at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Burlington, NJ with Pastor Fredrick C. Johnson officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 5915 Rhodes Road, Kent, OH 44240.
