DAVID KEITH KOCJANCIC - age 61, passed away unexpectedly at his Streetsboro home on February 19, 2025. He left behind a legacy for those he loved. He is the son of departed parents, Richard and Dolores (nee Bokar) Kocjancic of Cleveland. Ohio.
David was a very proud father of Zachary and Jessica; devoted companion to Elsa Kocjancic (mother of Zachary); beloved brother of Richard (Rita) Kocjancic, Noreen (Edwin) Webster, and Darrin (Jacquelyn) Kocjancic: uncle of Kristyn, and Richard and great-uncle to Karmyn and Kallie. He is a friend and cousin to many.
Dave was calm and creative, yet had an analytic personality that brought energy to every room he entered. He was quick with a story and a laugh. He enjoyed his time with Zachary, technical reading, vintage cars and music of all types. He had a remarkably broad and thorough understanding of electronics, computers and mechanics. David could troubleshoot almost anything! He was a master mechanic, and a certified master of all trades. His skills and investigative abilities were second to none.
David's primary work life began as a certified master mechanic, but he spent the majority of his working career (30+ years) as a rail car shop technician at the Regional Transit Authority (RTA) and eventually retired as a respected rail car shop Shift Supervisor with RTA.
David had a strong Christian faith. His generous nature, story-telling and presence will be missed and loved forever.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
