David Orrin Peterson

David, age 81, passed away peacefully on March 5th, 2025. Born in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Orrin and Elizabeth Peterson.

David enjoyed spending time with his family playing basketball in the backyard with his kids and the neighborhood friends, the occasional get together on a Sunday afternoon for a cookout in the back yard and going to garage sales with his sister and niece. He loved and looked forward to the numerous vacations the family took together to Myrtle Beach and enjoyed occasional trips back to Fremont where he met Patricia, married and started raising a family.

David was a devoted Cleveland sport fans, enjoyed classic cars and music and cooking the big Sunday morning breakfast for his family – his homemade Chinese dinner was a family favorite also, but he was most proud of his biggest accomplish in life of raising a large, loving family with Patricia.

Beloved husband of Patricia for 62 years; Loving father of Daniel (Lynn), Timothy, Mark (Tina) and Paula (Mark); dear grandfather of Justin, Russell, Rebecca, Rachel, Hannah, Nicki, Korey and Ava; great grandfather of 10; and dear brother of the late Barbara, Joan, Sue, Richard, and Glenda.

A celebration of life for the family will be arranged at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to be made to your local animal shelter or Cleveland Food Bank.
