David Lyle Reese

David Lyle Reese, 72, passed away July 18, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family after a two and half year battle with Dementia and Parkinson’s Disease.

Dave was born January 23rd, 1947 to Albert and Maxine Reese.

Dave Married Linda Hunsicker on April 19th, 1980 and enjoyed the next 39 years together.

He is survived by his children, Todd Tichnor of Westlake, Melodie Sadler of LaSalle, Illinois, Matthew (Christin) Reese of Mantua, and Kyle (Betsy) Reese of Ravenna; sister Marlynn (Reese) Boston; grandpa of Adam, Nina, and Dean Tichnor, Alex Tichnor, Sebastian Leaver, Amanda Reese, Matthew Reese Jr., Tyler Reese and Molly Reese; beloved uncle to Jennifer Haviland and Craig Boston.

Dave was a machinist by trade and a whizzer motorbike restorer. He was known to friends as “Whizzer Dave.” Dave also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. He also Served in the Army National Guard.

Calling hours will be Sunday, July 21, 2019 from 3 PM to 5 PM at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent. Funeral will follow immediately after calling hours. Per Dave’s wishes he will be cremated.
