Deborah Sue Shepherd

Deborah Sue Shepherd, a beloved member of our community, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at UH Portage Medical Center. She was 72 years old.

Deborah was born on May 8, 1952, in Ravenna, Ohio, to James and Ruth (Eckert) Shepherd Sr. 

Her passion for kids and animals was evident throughout her life, as she dedicated decades to being a 4-H adviser, actively involved in Why Not Saddle Club and Tail Waggers. Additionally, she was a selfless mother to four children, not her own.

Deborah is survived by her brothers, James Shepherd, JR, and Larry Shepherd; her niece/daughter, Brittianie Schneider; her nephews, JC and Joseph Shepherd; great Neice/granddaughter, Ellianna Shepherd; great nephews/grandsons, Oliver IV, Rayden and Noah Schneider as well as several other close relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 9th from 11-3 at the river room in the Cuyahoga falls market district, 2687 State Rd Cuyahoga falls Ohio 44223. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of your choice.

The services for Deborah Sue Shepherd will be held under the care of Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 628 West Main Street in Kent, Ohio 44240.
