Dewey G. Souers, 94, of Kent, died Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Akron City Hospital Medical Center.
He was born August 19, 1923 in Brimfield, to Paul Andrew and Mary Dean (Dietrich) Souers. Dewey was a 1941 graduate of Kent State High School and was a veteran of the Navy during the World War II war. Dewey was retired from Lamson & Sessions and RB&W.
He is survived by sons, Michael P Souers of Clearwater, FL and Robert (Sue) Beals of Hollister, CA; daughters, Kathy (Bill) Jesel of Kent; grandchildren, Michael Souers and Dewey J. Souers, Heather Beals and Jennifer Beals of MN; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae; parents, Paul and Mary (Dietrich) Souers; brother and sister-in-law, William (Virginia) Dietrich; brother and sister-in-law, Lester (Ruby) Souers; cousins, Dale and Ray Gless; aunt, Dorothy Souers and uncle, Phillip Souers.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory are handling the arrangements.
