Diane Frances Glassner

Diane F. Glassner joined her beloved Eddie in Heaven on Novemer 23, 2024. Surrounded in love by her family, she fought the bravest battle against breast cancer. But she and Eddie are together again.

Diane was born September 10, 1940 to Kathryn and Fisher Bill Roberts in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. She moved to Kent and was a 1958 graduate of Kent Roosevelt High Schooĺ.

She married her true love Edward J. Glassner on December 26, 1960 and they shared 50 years of happy marriage.

Besides raising her two daughters and four grandsons, Diane, or Nonnie, as so many families knew her, helped raise more than 25 children in her home day care. She loved nothing more than babies and children, laughter, good meals and playtime. She impacted many families that thought of her as family.

Preceded in death by her husband, Ed Glassner, she is survived by her daughters, Missy and David Harmon, and Chelle and Paul Hammond. She leaves behind grandsons, Andrew Hammond and Brianna DeLong, Matthew Hammond and Danielle Rogers, EJ McIlduff, Jr, and Daniel McIlduff; many nieces and nephews. 

She is survived by her sisters Nancy and Hank Turner, Liz and Bob Hansen, and Pat and Don Goodhart.

Calling hours will be held 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240. Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, December 2, 2024, at Standing Rock Cemetery, 1361 N Mantua St. Kent, OH 44240, with Rev. Fr. Will Wainio officiating.
