Diane Lynn Thompson, 76, of Stow, died Friday, January 5, 2018, at Select Specialty Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born May 4, 1941 in Ravenna, to Rocco J. and Helen L. (Meeker) Filomena. Diane owned and operated West View Hair Salon in Kent for many years. She also taught cosmetology at the beauty School in Cuyahoga Falls and retired from Macy's after many years of service. Diane was a loving and caring woman who took care of anyone in need. She loved to dress up, going to dinner, and going to the casinos. Diane was a beautiful person inside and out and loved all animals.
She is survived by fiancé, Ray Lubelski; twin brother, David Filomena; niece, Joan (Rusty) Best; nephews, Michael (Carol) Filomena and Christopher (Jen) Filomena; great nieces, Kari (Drew) Erdman, Jessica (Brian) Zack; great nephews, Alexander and Chase Filomena; great great niece, Julianna Filomena; brother-in-law, John DiMaso; sister-in-law, Sandy Filomena; aunt, Mary Weakland; extended family, Lance (Sarah) Lubelski, Cheryl Zimmerman, Mary (Geoff) Penney. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Thompson; parents; and sister, Beverly DiMaso.
Family services will be held. Burial will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery.
