Dianne Centa, 77, of Kent, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023. She was born in Wadsworth, OH on October 14, 1946 to the late Mike and Mary Centa and was a senior library associate at Kent State University, until her retirement in 2020.
Dianne was a proud member and state representative of the FFRF (Freedom From Religion Foundation) and was an avid book lover. She enjoyed traveling and was a gifted photographer. She was committed to science and was an enthusiastic supporter of the local businesses and music scene.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother David Centa.
Survivors include her daughters, Allison Dodds and Ellen Flick; grandchildren, Kia Dodds, Gail Frindt, Matthew Frindt and Erika Daniels; six great grandchildren; brothers, Dan (Shirley) Centa and Doug Centa; and her son-in-law Glenn Daniels.
In honoring her wishes, Dianne will be cremated, and her cremated remains will be donated to the University of Tennessee, Department of Forensic Anthropology for scientific research.
A remembrance will be held on THURSDAY, December 21, 2023 from 4:00-7:00PM at the Standing Rock Cultural Arts Center, 300 N. Water St. H, Kent, OH 44240.
