Donald E. Wiley, 83, of Kent, died Sunday, June 18, 2017, at Kensington Care Center in Aurora.
He was born September 5, 1933 in Kent, to the late Howard J. and Myrtle R. (Lightner) Wiley.
He was lifelong resident of Kent, and avid fan of Kent State sports. Veteran of The United States Airforce of the Korea War era. While at Kent State High School and in The United States Airforce, he participated in; baseball, basketball, and track. He retired after 33 years with Tree City Mold.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Flora (nee Cimarelli) Wiley; daughters, Carrie (Dave) Shanley of Ravenna, Debbie (Mike) Tur of Auburn Township, Christie (Pete) Demming of Aurora, Kim (Bill) Snyder of Stow; grandchildren, Taylor, Lauren, Jake, Emma, Dylan, Ryan, Payton. Preceded in death by his sister, Anita Jane Childers.
Calling hours will be held One hour preceding the funeral Wednesday, June 21 at St. Patrick Church 313 N. DePeyster Street Kent. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick Church with Father Richard Pentello officiating. Burial will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery.
