Dorothy "Louise" (Dycus/Jackson) Haenftling, 91, died on Tuesday, September 8, 2015.
She is survived by her daughters, Pamela (George) Arfield of Sarasota, Florida; Darlene (Leon) Sheridan of DeSoto, Missouri; and Donna (Bill) Vair of Akron, Ohio; and brother, Charles B. Dycus of Bradenton, Florida. She leaves behind 6 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Leo D. Haenftling, in June of this year, and Robert K. Jackson I, in 1952; and in 2003 by son, Robert K. Jackson II; her parents, Charles and Viola (Vaughan) Dycus; sisters, Jackie (Carl) Davis and Geneva (Chuck) Pluma.
Louise was born in Akron and worked for Goodyear Aerospace early in her career. She then managed the family farm in Atwater. Louise was very active in the Atwater Congregational Church, the Waterloo PTA and other community organizations.
The family will receive family and friends September 11th, at Atwater Congregational Church, Atwater, Ohio from 2:00-3:00 pm with the funeral services at 3:00 pm, at the church. There will be a small reception following the burial at the church social hall.
