Dorothy Siedschlag

Dorothy Siedschlag, wife of Karl G. Siedschlag Jr., was born May 13 to Clyde and Ocala Hostettler.

She was educated in the Kent State University school system from pre-kindergarten through college graduation. She was employed in the Kent Post Office as a window clerk during World War II, an adoption worker for Catholic Social Services in Wilmington, Delaware, and as a librarian in the Winesburg Branch of the Holmes County Library.

She was an associate member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kent, Ohio and a member of Zion Winesburg Church, Winesburg, Ohio.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Mrs. Alex Dmitriev) of New York City; foster daughter, Cynthia (Mrs. John Secletter) of St. Petersburg, Florida; sister in law, Joyce Hostettler of Delaware, Ohio; close family friends, Nona and Robert Wilson of Wilmington, Delaware; two nieces, Margaret Dempcy of Powel, Ohio and Barbara Heiser of Knoxville, Tenn.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Elizabeth Hazelton officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to RMH Foundation-Visiting Nurse-Hospice, POB 1204, Ravenna, OH 44266-1204.
