Earl J. Miller, 56, of Kent, died suddenly Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Robinson Memorial Hospital. He was born December 22, 1953 at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Guam to Earl R. and Magdalena (Castro Lujan) Miller. He was a graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School where he was a well known wrestler. He also wrestled while attending Kent State University and mentored Kent's youth wrestling. Earl was employed as a Medical Service Technician for Community Surgical Supply in Maple Heights. He owned and operated Miller and Sons Chimney Sweeps. He enjoyed all aspects of photography. His music taste leaned to Big Band. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time fishing. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Cuyahoga Falls. His final act of selflessness is that he is a multiple organ donor. He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Murphy) Miller, whom he married on October 4, 1975; sons, Mark and Jonathan, both of Kent; parents, Earl and Magdalena Miller of Kent; brothers, Norman (Susan) Miller of Silver Lake, Alan (Donna) Miller of Houston, TX, Glenn (Bonnie) Miller of Kent, Tim (Becky) Miller of Kent, and Scott (Angie) Miller of Kent; sister, Robin (David) Palermo of Philadelphia, PA; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Dorothy Murphy of Tallmadge; and many nieces and nephews. Earl will be deeply missed. Calling hours will be held 3-5 P.M. Sunday, November 7th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Monday, November 8th at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Cuyahoga Falls with Fr. Thomas McCann officiating. Private burial will be in Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent.
