Elizabeth Natalie Battaglia, 84, of Brimfield, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 2, 2017. She passed in her home, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
She was born December 25, 1932 in Akron, to Frank and Maria (Serra) DiLauro. She was a member of St. Patrick Church. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a woman of great faith known for her loving and generous heart, who opened her home to all. She was an avid card player, especially pinochle. She was still close with her fellow graduates from St. Vincent-St. Mary's High School and looked forward to their gatherings, as well as being a member of the Saint Patrick's Women's Group.
She is survived by her sons, Anthony Battaglia of Kent, Frank Battaglia of Kent, and Danny (Tonya) Battaglia of Kent; daughters, Grace (Mitch) Hoffman of Kent, Mary Beth Battaglia-Besser of Tallmadge, and Francine (Ronald) Livezey of Kent; fourteen grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas J. Battaglia in 2007; son-in-law, John Besser; brother, Daniel J. DiLauro; and sister, Margaret E. Marchese.
Calling hours will be held 5-7 PM Sunday, May 7th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent. Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Monday, May 8th at St. Patrick Church with Father Richard Pentello and Fr. Sam Ciccolini officiating. Burial will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery.
