Elizabeth M. "Beth" Denicholas

Elizabeth M. "Beth" DeNicholas, 60, of Howland Township, died at 1:29 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at St. Joseph Health Center following an extended illness.

She was born Feb. 23, 1951 in Ravenna, the daughter of Jerome and Betty Ann Schneider Bissler.

Beth was a 1969 graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School.

She had previously worked for multiple Physicians in El Paso, Texas, and the Warren area.

Beth was a member of St. James Church and the Church Choir. She enjoyed camping, reading, doing things with her children and their friends, both in El Paso and Warren, and playing with her puppies, "Bear" and "Baxter." She also was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns Fan.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas DeNicholas, whom she married Feb. 2, 1974. She also is survived by two children, Erin DeNicholas of Niles and Scott (Amanda) DeNicholas of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; three brothers, Fred (Maureen) Bissler of Overland, Kansas, Michael (Nancy) Hogan of Austin, Texas, and Gregory (Linda) Hogan of Adana, Turkey; three sisters, Suzee Lynn of Warren, Vt., Anne Claypool of Charlotte, N.C., and Patricia (Bob) Schultz of Kent; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Marjorie Hogan Bissler; brother, Edward Hogan; and father-in-law, Angelo DeNicholas.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, Warren, and 9:30 to 10 a.m. Thursday at St. James Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. James Church.

Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery, Cortland.
