ELLEN A. HOWE, 90 On Friday November 26, 2010, Ellen A. Howe took a seat next to her husband Paul and rode over the hill in the 1941 Mercury. Ellen a homemaker, and loving mother, had baked the pies, made extra bread, spent the day with her family, and finally danced with her grandchildren, she will be sorely missed.
She was born on July 30, 1920 in Glouster, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late John & Viola (Meier) O'Hare.
Ellen enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a member of St. Patrick Church, Kent, Ohio. Previously she was a leader of the Campfire Girls, Women Democratic Club and C.D.A. of America.
Survivors include her children; P. Ken (Bonnie) Howe, Rootstown, OH, Terry (Denise) Howe, Kent, OH, Rick (Margy) Howe, Ball Ground, GA, Dan (Sherry) Howe, Lawrenceburg, IN, Tina Howe Crock, Kent, OH, 13 Grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, Brothers; Bob and Bill O'Hare of Muse, PA, sister Anna Louise Marinelli of Muse, PA.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul C. Howe; parents, John and Viola O'Hare, brothers; John, Pat, Jim, Don and Leo O'Hare and a sister Mary Catherine O'Hare.
Family and friends received at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home 628 West Main Street, Kent, OH. 3 to 8 PM Monday November 29th, 2010 A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM Tuesday at St. Patrick Church 313 DePeyster St. Kent, with Father Richard Pentello officiating. Burial will be in Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes or Akron Children's Hospital.
