Ercole P. "Pete" Testa, 93, of Fairlawn, died Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Village at St. Edward in Fairlawn.
He was born February 25, 1918 in Akron to Angelo and Maria (Scarpetti) Testa. He was a veteran of the US Army during WWII. Ercole had worked at Ferry Machine and Gougler Industries. Then he went to work for General Dynamics in California. He came home and joined his brothers in Testa Brothers Excavating.
He is survived by son, Michael (April) Testa of Westlake; daughters, Connie (Becky) Flogge of Bolivar; grandchildren, Jocelyn (Michael) Chiurco of Cincinnati and Nino Testa of Spokane, WA; great grandchild, Andrew Chiurco; brothers, Americo "Amie" Testa of Ravenna and Nino (Carol) Testa of Ravenna; and sister, Hilda Mendiola of San Diego, CA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Dene Testa on November 30, 2010; and brother, C. S. Testa.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 3rd at the Village at St. Edward with Fr, Jim Flood officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the services. Private burial will be held at Standing Rock Cemetery.
