Ethel "Jackie" Eves

Ethel C, (Nelson) Eves, 91, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Maison Aine Care Center in Stow where she had been a resident for ten years.

Born April 13, 1919 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, Ethel or "Jackie" as she was known by some, moved to the Kent area as a child, with her parents and 9 siblings. A devout Catholic all her life, Ethel was a parishioner of St. Patrick Church in Kent and both St. Joseph's & St. Eugene's Catholic Churches in Cuyahoga Falls. Ethel will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, wife & dear friend to many - she will be truly missed!

The family would like to express our deep gratitude to the wonderful staff at Maison Aine, especially nurses Sandy & Brenda - your care & love will always be remembered! Thank you!

Ethel leaves a large family with many joyous memories: sons, Richard (Dawn) Eves, Jr. of Boston Hts and John (Patti) Eves of Uniontown; daughters, Sharon (Doug) McGivern of Cuyahoga Falls and Katherine (Timothy) Kidwell of Tallmadge; grandchildren, Lora (Kevin) Gray, Joseph Eves, Crystal (Benjamin) Ake, Bethann Eves, Robert Burroughs, Melisa Wharton, Trisha (William) Jarvis, Nicholas Fritz, Wesley Fritz, Samantha Fritz, Emily Kidwell, and Kathryn Kidwell; great grandchildren, Brandon Burroughs, Adrian Wharton, Avonlea Ake and Allorah Ake; and sister, Theresa (Thomas) Smith of Florida. Ethel was preceded in death by both parents: Jess Nelson & Grace Mulac, 2 husbands: William Jeney & Richard Eves, Sr., as well as 6 of her sisters and 2 brothers.

Memorial Services will be held 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 1st at the New Apostolic Church, 3541 Elm Road, Stow. The family will receive friends one hour before the services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Ethel's name to Maison Ainé, 2910 L'ermitage Place, Stow, OH 44224.
