Eula A. Lane

Eula Mae Lane, 86, of Brimfield, died Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Brookdale of Ravenna.

She was born November 7, 1931 in Cowen, WV to Jonas and Nellie (Swecker) Atkinson. She had been a member of the United Methodist Church of Aurora and past president of its Women's Association. She retired in 1997 as a Children's Librarian with the Cuyahoga County Public Library System, Chagrin Falls branch. She was involved in the Cleveland Puppet Guild, the Red Hat Society, and she dedicated the Warrensville Heights Library's children's room to author Ezra Jack Keats in 1974.

She is survived by son, Bradley (Dale Miller Jr.) Lane of Kent; daughter, Constance Lane of Kent; grandchildren, Matthew Lane, Jonathan Busch, Sarah Busch, and Elizabeth Busch; great grandchildren, Jaden, Owen, Faith, and Brennen; and sisters, Charlotte McClung of Summersville, WV, Joan (Earl) Lucas of Parkersburg, and Barbara (Steven) Henry of Hurricane, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman in 1974; and sister, Virginia Cunningham.

Calling hours will be held 6-8 PM Wednesday, July 25th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent where funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, July 26th with Kevin O'Brien officiating. Burial will be held at Grandview Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Alzheimer's Association c/o Alzheimer's Research, 70 W.
