Frances A. Patterson, 78, of Kent, died Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at Akron City Hospital Medical Center.
She was born June 10, 1939 in Hubbard, to the late John and Mary (March) MacLellan.
She encouraged others to share in her love for horses through over 45 years as a 4-H advisor and many years as a Pony Club D.C. She was active in Farm Bureau council, volunteered on local township and school committees, and was a member of the Carousal Association.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Chester Patterson; son, Mark R. (Lori) Patterson of Findlay; daughter, Debbie Patterson White (Bruce English) of Kent; grandson, John (Courtney) Patterson of Findlay; granddaughter, Mary Patterson of Findlay; granddaughter, Sarah White of Suffield; and her beloved dogs, Pumpkin and Pie.
Calling hours will be held from 5-7 PM August 13 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent. Calling hours will also be held from 11-noon August 14 at Stewart Kyle Funeral Home, 407 W. Liberty Street, Hubbard, followed by Funeral services. Burial will be held at Church Hill Cemetery.
