Frank J. Kordinak, 87, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 with his wife and their children by his side.
Frank was born in Kent, OH on December 11, 1936 to the late Martin and Theresa (Haas) Kordinak. He married Jane Wohlwend on June 6, 1959. Frank was drafted in to the United States Army in 1960 and was a proud veteran until his death. After being honorably discharged from his military service, he continued employment for Davey Compressor. He retired in 1999, following 33 years of service from The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company as a designer draftsman.
In his earlier years, he was a well-known accordion player in several polka bands. Above all, Frank loved spending time with family and friends, especially the frequent family Walt Disney World trips, his latest being this past March.
Frank is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jane; and children, Rose (Scott) Goodrich, Jacqueline Porter (Marty Pero), Anne Kordinak, Frank (Christine) Kordinak and James (Holly) Kordinak. He is also survived by grandchildren, Justin (Liz) Porter, Kyle (Kerri) Goodrich, Jillian (Tony) Simone, Kellie and Katie Kordinak; and great grandchildren, Rhett, Weston, and Jameson Simone, Julia and Laura Porter, and Caroline Goodrich. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law Randy Porter; brothers, Edward, John, and William; and his sister Josephine Moyseenko.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to members of Summa Health Cancer Institute, Summa Health System, Gentiva Hospice, Suffield Fire Department and countless other friends and family who offered their unwavering support during this difficult journey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on THURSDAY, April 18, 2024 at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2643 Waterloo Rd. Mogadore, OH 44260, with the Rev. Fr. Thomas Dyer as Celebrant. Visitation will be prior to Mass from 9:00-11:00AM on THURSDAY at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that monetary donations be made, in Frank’s name, to the Randolph/Suffield/Atwater Food Shelf, P.O. Box 107 Randolph, OH 44265 or the Stephen A. Comunale, Jr. Family Cancer Foundation.
