George A. Coulman, Ph.D.
George A. Coulman, Ph.D., 80, of Aurora, died Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Aurora Manor.
He was born June 29, 1930 in Detroit, MI to William and Mary (Dega) Coulman. He was a veteran of the Army during the 1950's. He earned his Bachelors and Ph.D. from University of Michigan and his Masters from Case Western Reserve University. He retired in 1996 as Dean of the Fenn College of Engineering at Cleveland State University. He began his career at CSU in the Chemical and Biomedical Engineering Department where he had also served as Chair. He also has worked at Michigan State and The University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario. He was involved in Habitat for Humanity and was an avid woodworker.
He is survived by his wife, Annette (Felder); son, Karl (Renee) Coulman and grandson, Kevin Coulman of Streetsboro; daughter, Paula Coulman of Austin, TX; and sister, Betty Creighton of Hot Springs, AR. He was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters.
Private services will be held at a later date. Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory are handling the arrangements.
