Kent, OH

Germaine Culver Hale, age 82, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 4, 2025, in Ravenna, Ohio. She was born on December 3, 1942, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Howard Pecquet and Mary Helen Pecquet (Culver).

Germaine's early years were spent in Atlanta before her family moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1944, and then to Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1955, where she would spend her formative years. She received her early education at Cardinal Pacelli Elementary School, graduating in 1956, and continued her studies at McNicholas High School, graduating in 1960.

Following graduation, Germaine began her professional career as a Records Clerk for AT&T, a position she held from 1960 to 1966. In 1965, she married the love of her life, Bob Hale, and together they built a loving family. Germaine was a devoted mother to her three children: Lisa Hale (Kolo), Cary Hale, and John Hale. Her family was the center of her world, and she cherished her role as a wife, mother, aunt, sister, and daughter.

Later in life, Germaine dedicated herself to serving her community through extensive volunteer work. From 1975 to 1999, she was a Professional Volunteer for the Seven Hills Neighborhood Housing, tirelessly working to improve the lives of those in her neighborhood. During the same period, she also served as the Head of Christ the King Social Action, demonstrating her deep commitment to social justice and helping those in need. Her passion for learning and sharing knowledge led her to volunteer at the Cincinnati Museum Center, where she enjoyed engaging with the community and exploring history and culture.

Germaine was a kind and compassionate woman who touched the lives of many. She will be remembered for her selfless dedication to others, her warm spirit, and her unwavering love for her family. She was a proud mother and grandmother to her five grandchildren (Taylor, Alexis, Rachael, Matthew, and Ryan), who brought her immense joy.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's in Germaine's memory, to continue her legacy of community support.

In honoring her wishes, Germaine will be cremated, and she will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Cremation services in the care of Bissler and Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240.
