Gregory Dennis Quier, age 65, of Garrettsville, OH, died on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at UH Portage Medical Center. He was born June 30, 1956 in Ravenna, OH to Donald and Barbara (Dennis) Quier.
Greg was a lover of the outdoors. Especially at “the Palace” where he would be enjoying four-wheeling with friends, having target practice on the range, or cooking food for everyone. He also spent a lot of his childhood fishing with family at the Berlin Reservoir. He was always wearing a smile and his favorite cut-off. His world revolved around his family and friends. He loved cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events, playing a laid back game of Scrabble at home with his wife, or dominating in euchre or pool at Dominick's. Every Sunday from February until November, Greg could be found in his recliner snacking on sweet treats and commentating on Martin Truex's left turns. He was loved by everyone that knew him because he was one of the most genuine, kind and caring humans around.
He is survived by his wife, Elinor Quier; daughter, Erica (Greg) Loeser; father, Donald Quier; brother, Geoff Quier; sister, Kristi Quier; step-daughters, Megan (Joseph) Whitacre, and Kira (Jedidiah) Knight; grandchildren, JJ, Max, Grace, and Paige Loeser; and step-grandson, Wesley Whitacre.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Quier.
