Helen Louise Roa, age 90 of Centerville, formerly of Madison and Mentor, passed away October 4, 2018. She was born in Cleveland December 25, 1927 to the late Gertrude and John Zolton.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her.
She leaves behind her four children, Janice (William) Emerick, Linda (Frank R.) Brancatelli, John (Debbie) Roa, Pam (Tim) Koscelnik; grandchildren, Jennifer (Robert) Thompson, Julia (Robert) Follett, Matthew (Michelle) Brancatelli, Brianna and Danielle Roa; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew, Brent, Bailey, Kyle, and Konner; her loving sister, Maryann Gauer; niece, Carol (Ken) Swisher; cousin, Lloyd Ganss; and many other nieces, nephews and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Roa.
She was an accomplished seamstress and cook and loved having family dinners for holidays. She was skilled at whatever she undertook to benefit her family, which she loved.
Calling hours will be held 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM with Kirk Schlecty officiating. Burial will follow at Standing Rock Cemetery.
