Henry M. Just, 88, of Brimfield passed away peacefully in the early morning of January 1, 2015. Father of six, Henry is remembered most by the great love he had for his family. He is survived by his children, Greg (Jean) Just, Robin (Jan) Just, Holly (Russ) DuPlain, Jaimy (Frank) Rand, and Barry (Kathy) Just; grandchildren, Kari (Patrick) Willoughby, Matthew (Vickie) Just, Adam (Sara) Just, Melissa (Scott) Galloway, Julie (Dave) Jurmanovich, Tyler (Jacqueline) Just, Jordan Solitro, Justin Solitro, Reagan Rand, Nolan Just, and Nathan Just; great grandchildren, Anna Grace Willoughby, Charlotte Willoughby, Sam Just, Joanna Just, Nathan Just, Ruhama Just, Andrew Just, Gabe Jurmanovich, and Molly Jurmanovich; sister, Erma (Just) Bender; and daughter-in-law, Nancy Schwalbach.

He is preceded in death by his son, Michael Just; father, Mathias Just; mother, Susanna (Thoricht) Just; brother, Richard Just; and sisters, Rose Whitney, Elsie Young, and Freda Fleshman.

Henry was born on May 24, 1926 on a farm in Suffield. He graduated from Suffield High School in 1944 and progressed to a variety of successful careers. For much of his early career he was employed by Ohio Bell. He then became an entrepreneur and business owner in Brimfield where he managed and owned Just SOHIO, Just Shell Service, and Just Drive Thru. During semiretirement, he enjoyed working at Green Hills Golf Course.

Henry's interests were greatly centered on his love of the outdoors and spending time with his family. He was happiest working in his yard or garden, attending sporting events of his children and grandchildren, or playing golf with family and friends. He was an avid sports fan, and loved having a good meal, a good laugh, and having conversations with family and friends. Henry's community ties were strong. By operating his own business in the heart of Brimfield for over 50 years, serving as a volunteer fireman for the Brimfield Fire Department, plowing lots, fixing cars, and coaching little league, Henry was known throughout Brimfield. He will be missed by many for his integrity, strong work ethic, willingness to accept and fulfill responsibilities, friendliness, and his example of how to live life well and to the fullest.

Calling hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday, January 8th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent where funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Friday, January 9th with Pastor Adam Just officiating. Interment will be in Restland Cemetery in Brimfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Robinson Hospice, POB 1204, Ravenna, OH 44266-1204. The family is grateful for their kind and loving care.
