Jack C. Bennett, 83, of Brimfield, died Friday, July 11, 2014 at Robinson Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born February 23, 1931 in Akron. He attended Kent Roosevelt High School. Jack was a veteran of the Army during the Korean War. He loved and lived to fish and was a fan of Bluegrass Music.
He is survived by his wife, Marie A. (Kaliszewski) Bennett, whom he married on January 27, 1953; son, Mike (Kathie) Bennett of Rootstown; daughters, Suzie (Doug) Dawes of Stow, Mary Bennett of Johnson City, TN, Tina Bennett of Suffield and Kathy Bennett of Brimfield; eight granddaughters; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; brother, Robert (Jane) Bennett of Bolivar, MO; sister, Mary Pomerantz of Phoenix, AZ; friend John and his coffee buddies at Burger King. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lucille (Campbell) Bennett; sister, Joan Rager; and faithful dog, Samson.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 16th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home with Father Richard Pentello officiating, where calling hours will be held 9:30 AM until the time of service.
