John S. "Jack" Mileski, 70, of Cuyahoga Falls, died Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Summa Western Reserve Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls.
Jack was born on November 9, 1942 in Akron, Ohio to John and Louise (Romeo) Mileski. He attended Archbishop Hoban High his freshman and sophomore years of high school and then went on to graduate from Kent Roosevelt in 1960. Jack belonged to both Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Cuyahoga Falls and Grace Church in Akron. He was a well-respected car salesman at several local dealerships for thirty plus years. He owned and enjoyed an extensive collection of movies. He particularly loved old cowboy films. He was an avid golfer. In the mid-sixties, he worked as golf pro at both Silver Lake and Firestone Country Clubs. He twice laid claim to winning The Hole in One Contest at Highlander Driving Range in Akron. When he was not golfing, Jack welcomed the challenge of a good game of pool. He had many treasured friends who will miss him, as he was a loyal friend and always thought to be the "life of the party".
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Dinah (Doll) Mileski; son; Steven (Susan) Mileski of Kent; daughters, Tiffany (Darrell) Lewis of Stow, Jennifer (George) Combs of Tallmadge, Penelope (Matthew) Hilliard of Cumming, GA, and Stephanie (Joseph) Fagan of Stuttgart, Germany; grandchildren, Jack, Steven, and Rachel Mileski, Taylor and Kristina Lewis, and Jake, Tyler, and Addison Hilliard. He considered his grandchildren to be his greatest treasures.
Calling hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8PM Tuesday, July 23rd at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home 628 West Main Street, Kent where his funeral services will take place Wednesday at 11AM. Interment will be held immediately following at Standing Rock Cemetery.
