Jacqueline “Jackie” Woodring, 87, passed away peacefully at the Gardens of Cuyahoga Falls on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at 9:40 P.M., with her family by her side.
She grew up in Brady Lake, as the only child to Dudley and Hazel (Jones) Weaver. She later returned and purchased her family home from her parents in the mid 1980’s.
She retired from Kent State University, where she was a secretary for Korb Hall.
She was an avid animal lover and followed in her father’s footsteps with researching Genealogy. She was a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution and would research deceased military members that did not have military recognition on their graves. She made sure they received the recognition they deserved. She loved her family above all else.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Gail R. Woodring and children, Michael Ann Tibbs, and Christine Ellsworth.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Elizabeth Merriner (Terry).
There will be a public Celebration of Life at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 6500 Lakeview Dr., Kent Ohio 44240, (the old Dinks store if you're local), that will also celebrate the life of her daughter, Christine.
In lieu of flowers, please donate in Jackie’s name to a local animal shelter.
